I need to replace the exhaust on my Kubota, (about 9 years old and starting to rust out) and don't want to break the bolts off the exhaust manifold when I remove the exhaust. Should I use penetrating oil on the nuts and bolts for a few days prior to removal or should I use a torch to heat the nuts red hot. Or are there other ways to do this. Thanks in advance.

Use some good penetrating oil ( like aerokroil ) and keep soaking them for a few days. Heat will also help, but not red hot, you could crack the block. A nut buster is also helpful if the nuts are extremely stubborn. When all else fails, cuss like hell, throw your tools around, kick the Kubota, and swear that you'll never buy orange again ....

If the bolts are screwed into the exhaust manifold I'd heat them red hot. I've removed alot of them that way. It is much better than breaking them off. ....
